El Rosario Launches Heartwarming Holiday Campaign: "Regala una Ilusión"

In the spirit of holiday generosity and community solidarity, the municipality of El Rosario in Tenerife, Canary Islands, has initiated its annual solidarity campaign, "Regala una Ilusión" (Gift a Dream). This heartfelt initiative, led by the area of Acción Social under the direction of Councilor Fátima Gutiérrez, aims to ensure that no child in the municipality is left without a gift during the magical night of the Three Kings (Día de Reyes).

A Tradition of Solidarity

The "Regala una Ilusión" campaign has become a beloved tradition in El Rosario, showcasing the community's commitment to helping those in need. Each year, families, entities, and businesses come together to make sure every child has a joyful holiday season. This year, the campaign is open for participation until November 30th, allowing individuals and groups to sign up as godparents or godmothers for the children.

Personalized Gifts

What sets this campaign apart is its personalized approach. Those who choose to participate will receive detailed information about the child they are sponsoring, including the child's age, gender, and specific wishes as outlined in their letter to the Three Kings. This ensures that each gift is thoughtful and tailored to the child's desires, making the experience even more special.

How to Participate

To join this noble cause, interested individuals can contact the Acción Social department at El Rosario's town hall. They can do so by calling the phone number 922 01 01 60 (extensions 2014, 1114, or 1100) or by sending an email to [email protected]. The campaign is structured to accommodate both families in need and those who wish to donate. Families facing economic difficulties can register to receive gifts until November 29th, while those who want to donate can do so within the specified timeframe.

Financial Guidelines

The campaign sets a budget range for the gifts, encouraging donors to spend between 20 and 50 euros per child. This guideline helps ensure that every child receives a meaningful gift without placing an undue financial burden on the donors.

Community Involvement

The success of "Regala una Ilusión" is a testament to the strong sense of community in El Rosario. Councilor Fátima Gutiérrez highlighted the community's solidarity, stating that the residents of El Rosario are an exemplary model of generosity, year after year pouring their hearts into this initiative. The campaign is coordinated by the social workers of the town hall, who gather and classify the information about the beneficiaries to ensure a smooth and effective distribution of the gifts.

A Call to Solidarity

As the holiday season approaches, the Concejalía de Acción Social is making a heartfelt appeal for solidarity. This campaign not only brings joy to the children but also fosters a sense of community and social responsibility. By participating in "Regala una Ilusión," individuals can make a tangible difference in the lives of those around them, ensuring that every child in El Rosario has a memorable and happy holiday season.
